Automation Project Manager

The ideal candidate will have a background in electronics or mechatronics and at least 5 years’ experience
in Siemens Motion PLC programming and software development for process control and
automatic machine control.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing solutions and coordinating software development,
as well as testing and commissioning the machines/systems, while meeting time and cost targets.

The successful candidate will be part of an interdisciplinary development team, working alongside
mechanical designers and will interface with the development teams of our production management system. They will be required to:
• share and manage critical issues with Technical Management;
• coordinate the development of contract software (PLC and HMI) following methodologies and
internal standards;
• draw up project documentation and produce periodic work progress reports;
• monitor and supervise testing and commissioning activities, both on site at customer premises
and through remote support.

Requirements:
• Degree or diploma in disciplines such as Electronics or Mechatronics
• Knowledge of PLC and Motion Software Programming techniques
• Knowledge of Siemens and/or Rockwell systems and development environments
• Knowledge of SCADA systems and development with C++, C#, VB.net languages
• Problem-solving skills
• 5-7 years’ experience in similar positions
The candidate should also have:
• Ability to work in a team, ability to interact with business users
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for short periods
• Excellent knowledge of Italian and English
